Biography
Mr. Rizwan Baig is a Transportation Industry Leader with over 35 years of extensive engineering leadership experience. He holds a Bachelor and a Master of Engineering in Civil and Transportation Engineering and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the states of New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Mr. Baig began his career with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey in 1990 as a Junior Engineer and rose to the position of Chief Engineer. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated strong leadership by motivating staff, aligning resources for success, and fostering an innovative and respectful workplace culture. He spearheaded coalition-building with the Agency’s business lines (TBT, Aviation, Port, PATH, and WTC) and regional partners in New York and New Jersey, ensuring that critical Agency projects were planned and constructed effectively to meet shared regional mobility goals.
